16 March 2026 TURKU | Wolt is launching robot deliveries in central Turku in spring 2026 in partnership with the U.S.-based robotics logistics company Coco. Following Helsinki, Turku will be the second city in Finland where robots deliver not only grocery orders but also restaurant meals to customers.

Around 10 delivery robots will begin operating in Turku, moving within a radius of up to three kilometres in the city centre. The first robots will arrive on the streets in March, with deliveries rolling out gradually over the course of the spring.

“In Turku, many everyday services are within walking distance, and the same logic applies to robot deliveries. On short distances, robots are a fast and low-emission way to deliver orders directly to customers. They complement our existing delivery network and provide a new low-emission option for short trips,” says Patricia Nsombo, robot operations specialist at Wolt.

Customers can select robot delivery in the Wolt app if both the order and the delivery address are within the operating area. Deliveries can be tracked in real time in the app, and the robot’s compartment is opened using a personal code provided in the app.

Coco’s robots have completed more than 500,000 deliveries across cities in the United States and Europe.

“After seeing strong adoption and positive feedback from the community in Helsinki, expanding to Turku is a natural next step for us in Finland,” said Viola Elenius,  Managing Director, Coco Finland. “Turku’s compact city center makes it a great environment for robot delivery, and we’re excited to work with Wolt to bring a fast, reliable, and low-emission delivery option to even more customers.”
